Peer Power CEO Courtney Richardson shared the importance of supporting young people across Memphis through mentoring programs.

Peer Power is a non-profit that employs successful college students to tutor in public schools and mentor students. By doing this, they encourage high school students to value education and create a vision for their futures.

Richardson told KWAM that issues like young people joining gangs are birthed out of “hopelessness.”

“Where Peer Power is, we have young people who have vision for their lives,” he said.
