Memphis Police Chief Warns Citizens to Stay Alert

Memphis Police Chief CJ Davis joined KWAM radio host Earle Farrell Friday to answer questions about the “inhumane” Tyre Nichols video release.

Chief Davis assured citizens while there is no evidence of any forthcoming violence, anyone deciding to go out today needs to stay observant.

You know, it’s really early right now. We don’t know exactly what the reaction or response will be tonight, but I think it’s premature for us to tell people [to] stay home… I do recommend that people are very observant,” Davis said on “The Earle Farrell4Memphis Show.”

Davis tells Earle citizens can expect to see body cam footage of the initial encounter along with sky cam footage that captures the entire corner in which the stop occurred.
