Memphis Radio Veteran Tim Van Horn Joins KWAM

Longtime Memphis radio veteran Tim Van Horn has joined the staff of KWAM, one of the region’s fastest-growing news-talk radio stations.

Van Horn previously hosted Memphis Morning News on WREC. He will host “Wake Up Memphis” on KWAM.

“Tim is going to shake up the Memphis radio world,” KWAM general manager Dalton Glasscock said. “He is an incredible broadcast professional and we are excited for the fast-paced and action-packed show he is going to deliver.”

The Wake Up Memphis team also includes KWAM reporter Grace Baker and audio engineer Kenny Bosak, another WREC alum.

“No one knows Memphis like Tim,” Glasscock said. “He’s a well-respected broadcaster and community leader and his roots in this city run deep.”

Van Horn, who is a licensed realtor, spent 15 years as a meteorologist at WMC-TV and the last two years as a soccer play-by-play announcer and color analyst for Memphis 901 FC on ESPN+.

He co-hosts “My 3 Subs Soccer: A Soccer Odyssey” podcast.

He graduated with degrees from the University of Memphis and Memphis State University. He and his wife have “one awesome daughter,” two dogs and a fish.
