Memphis shooting suspect Ezekiel D. Kelly, 19, is in custody, according to the Memphis Police Department.
Police arrested Kelly around 9:20 p.m. after a string of shootings recorded on Facebook before he reportedly crash in the area of Ivan Road and Hodge Road.This social media post shows the moment Kelly was arrested by officers.
The Commercial Appeal reported about Kelly’s criminal record, including that he was released from prison in March:
“Who are the monsters who let the monster out of prison?” national radio host and KWAM owner Todd Starnes tweeted.Kelly has prior arrests for attempted first-degree murder and reckless endangerment in 2020.
He was sentenced to three years but was released March 16 this year. Police issued a warrant for first-degree murder for Kelly on Wednesday night.

The shelter-in-place has been lifted for the city.
Law enforcement has not reported how many people were injured or killed during Kelly’s shooting spree.
