The Iowa State Cyclones and the Memphis Tigers will square off in the 65th AutoZone Liberty Bowl on December 29, 2023 at 2:30 p.m. (CST). The game will be televised by ESPN.

“We’re thrilled to welcome back the Iowa State Cyclones to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl,” said executive director Steve Ehrhart. “Coach Matt Campbell led his team to an 7-5 regular season, including a 6-3 record in the Big 12. Their wins included Oklahoma State, that played on the Big 12 Championship Game, and a season-ending win on the road, in the snow at Kansas State.”

Iowa State will be making its fourth appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. The Cyclones played in the Bowl game in 1972, 2012 and 2017.

The Tigers will be making their second trip to the AutoZone Liberty Bowl. This will be a rematch of the 2017 AutoZone Liberty Bowl when Iowa State won a 21- 20 thriller over Memphis in front of a sold out crowd of 57,266.
