The Milwaukee Brewers are hosting a pre-game drag show to celebrate transgenderism during Gay Pride Month.
Drag queens Dora Diamond, Beth Anne Bodyworks, Dita Von and Marbella are slated to compete in a pre-game event, while another drag queen hosts a meet-and-greet in the ballpark’s Cream City Cocktail Bar. Fans will also receive “Brewers Pride” backpacks — adorned with rainbow colors.
“Celebrate our local LGBTW community with special appearances, local entertainment & photo ops!” the official Milwaukee Brewers account tweeted on Wednesday.
Fans who posted on social media were less than thrilled about the pre-game diversity show.“Old enough to remember when baseball was baseball,” one fan wrote.”Will they celebrate straight fans with strippers?”
Another wrote, “Baseball games use to be a place you could take your kids.”
