MPD Resumes Reporting Rampant Crime Across Memphis

The Memphis Police Department has resumed reporting on crime across Memphis on their social media accounts. Previously, it had been reported that Memphis City Hall was allegedly keeping crime reports suppressed on social media to improve public perception.
At 9:42 p.m., officers responded to a shooting in the 2400 block of Peres Avenue. One male was pronounced deceased on the scene. No suspect information at this time. This is an ongoing investigation.
