Longtime Nashville radio reporter and news anchor Pamela Furr, who currently works at Supertalk 99.7 WTN, updates  ‘Wake Up Memphis’ with Robyn Walensky on the massive coronavirus numbers cover-up out of the Nashville mayor’s office. The mayor John Cooper is a Democrat.

Emails came to light after a Fox17 Nashville TV investigation reveals the mayor’s office knew there had been just 80 cases of coronavirus, yet the Democrat Mayor shut down the city crushing tourism.

Furr tells ‘Wake Up Memphis’ “you’ve got a lot of angry people downtown, who are losing tons of money, some bars that originally were only temporarily closing due to the pandemic are now forced to close for good.”

Furr explains “you have a mayor and a city council who passed a 34% property tax increase because they said they’re suffering because the sales tax revenue is way down because of coronavirus,” yet it’s the mayor himself who crushed the tourism.

“I would venture to say you’re going to have a lot of lawsuits on your hands,” Furr tells Walensky.

The mayor of Nashville (D) John Cooper asked Tenn. Gov. (R) Bill Lee for more coronavirus relief money. The governor refused to give him any more money, as from the approximate $90 million Nashville already received less than $6 million has been allocated to fund small business.
