  • It was a violent weekend in Memphis. Nine were shot and six are dead. On Sunday alone, there was a pair of double shootings that resulted in two dead and two injured.

 

  • A FedEx plane landed with the first shipment of the coronavirus vaccine on Sunday in Shelby County.

 

  • The Memphis Tigers football team beat Houston over the weekend with a game-winning field goal, and they’re bowl-bound for the seventh consecutive year. They’ll be heading to Montgomery, Alabama, to face Florida Atlantic for the Montgomery Bowl on Dec. 23.

 

  • A beloved local pastor passed away this weekend. Rev. James Netters was the pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church for over 60 years and was a former Memphis City Councilman. He passed away early Sunday.
