- Three firefighters have been injured after four fires broke out in Memphis overnight.
- Yesterday, it was announced that Army will replace the Tennessee Volunteers in the Liberty Bowl against West Virginia that’s set to be played on Dec. 31 after Tennessee reported they wouldn’t be playing due to positive coronavirus tests on the team. The bowl game is set to have about 12,000 fans, but with the new local directive, we’ll see if that changes.
- In Germantown, the Salvation Army found quite the gift from an anonymous donor. Someone had dropped off a diamond ring that’s valued at more than $6,000 in one of their red kettle buckets. The person left a note that read “help the poor.”
- The Shelby County Health Department issued a new directive Monday afternoon that goes into effect the day after Christmas. In the directive, restaurant capacity is reduced to 25 percent.
- Memphis is now at 323 homicides in 2020 so far, and Memphis Police believe that people possessing stolen guns is in part to blame.
