Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:
- Early Christmas morning a RV exploded in downtown Nashville, and authorities identified 63-year-old Anthony Warner as the bomber that was inside the vehicle.
- The Shelby County Safer at Home order came into effect Saturday, which reduces restaurant capacity to 25 percent and retail is reduced to 50% capacity. The order will stay in effect until Jan. 22.
- The Memphis Fire Department responded to a deadly house fire off of Getwell Road Sunday evening. After getting the fire under control, they found an unresponsive man in the front bedroom of the house, and he was declared dead at the scene.
- Britney Posey has been charged with aggravated assault, vandalism, driving under the influence and resisting arrest after she drove her car into a west window of Methodist hospital, backed out and then drove into it again.
- Memphis Police report a vehicle was hit by a train Sunday evening. It happened near Summer Avenue and Rayner, and the driver has been taken to the hospital in non-critical condition.
