Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:
- The CDC reports flu activity is down significantly for this time of year. A little over 32,000 people have been seen for flu-like illnesses this flu season so far in Tennessee. Over in Arkansas there have been a little over 800 cases.
- Memphis Fire Department is investigating an arson from Wednesday afternoon around 2 pm at the Tanglewood Apartments. One firefighter was taken to the hospital for chest pain, and total damage sustained is over 100,000 dollars. The officers say the fire was set intentionally at the patio area of the apartment.
- Memphis Police are investigating an interstate shooting from Wednesday off of I-55 and South Parkway. Shots were fired at a man who was helping someone on the side of the road. He was injured and taken to the hospital in non critical condition.
- Wednesday evening 3 were shot over on Firestone in North Memphis. One of the victims was rushed to the hospital in critical condition, and the other two died.
