Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South today:
- The Mid-South seems to finally be through the worst of this severe winter weather. After another round of snow yesterday, Memphis International Airport has reported a record 7.2 inches of snow total. The entire Mid-South remains under a Winter Storm Warning until 6 pm tonight. Wake Up Memphis will keep you updated.
- With the severe winter weather, many kids are getting another snow day today, or they’ll be on their computers for virtual learning. DeSoto County Schools have shifted to distance learning, and Shelby County Schools will continue as normal online. You can find the full listings of school closings and business closings here.
- The Shelby County Health Department released a new directive that’ll go into effect Saturday at midnight. It allows food and beverage service until midnight and eliminates capacity restrictions for dine-in services, but tables must still be 6 feet apart.
