Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:

  • After the Mid-South has dealt with severe winter weather all week long, Memphis Light Gas and Water has now issued a boil water advisory for all of their customers after previously requesting customers conserve water through today. We’ve got the full statement with all the details here.

  • That advisory is causing problems in more ways than one. The Memphis International Airport has cancelled all passenger flights for today. The water pressure dropped so low Thursday night that the airport was forced to close down. Cargo operations are staying the same for today.

  • If you haven’t received any mail this week, you’re not the only one. USPS is experiencing major delays in Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee thanks to the winter weather. They’ve temporarily closed some postal facilities and are asking residents to help postal workers by cleaning off their porches and steps to make deliveries easier.
