Here’s everything going on in the Mid-South:

  • Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves extended the nearly-statewide mask mandate that was set to expire yesterday. 75 of the state’s 82 counties are under the mandate. A few of the counties not under the mandate include Wilkinson, Lawrence and Jefferson county.

 

  • 4 people were shot Wednesday afternoon in North Memphis. Memphis Police arrived at the scene near North Montgomery and found one of the victims dead at the scene. The other three were transported to the hospital, and no arrests have been made yet.

 

  • Memphis Police are investigating an accident near the Memphis Airport this morning on East Shelby Drive. No details have been released besides the fact that a pedestrian was involved and taken to the Regional Medical Center.

 

  • A man was shot late Wednesday night in South Memphis off of East Raines Road. Police found the victim at the Graceland Farms Apartments, and he was taken to the hospital in critical condition. Police have detained 1 person.
