  • Shelby County Superintendent Joris Ray responded to Gov. Bill Lee’s comments this week on education and the proposed bill that would penalize schools staying virtual. Governor Bill Lee says to follow the science and reopen the schools. Many students have fallen behind during the coronavirus pandemic.

 

  • Memphis Police are investigating a stabbing Thursday evening in the Medical District near North Danny Thomas and Madison. The victim was found around 6 pm and taken to the hospital, but he didn’t survive his injuries

 

  • The Memphis Grizzlies have to postpone their next three games due to coronavirus concerns. A statement released Thursday revealed the Grizzlies don’t have enough players available due to positive tests and contact tracing within the team.

 

  • The Memphis Tigers basketball team welcomed fans back to FedExForum Thursday night for the first time since the end of December…Games have been postponed multiple times due to coronavirus concerns. They limited attended to 20 percent which is around 3500 people, and fans have to wear masks at all times.
