- Thousands of people lost power yesterday in the Mid-South as a major storm swept across the region, which included golfball-sized hail and flash flooding. Thankfully, MLGW has restored most of the power in the Memphis area.
- The Shelby County Commission has banned the naming of any county-owned property after former President Donald Trump after they voted and passed the resolution Monday night. The resolution was originally introduced by commissioner Tami Sawyer.
- A driver in Frayser was taken to the hospital in critical condition early this morning. The victim crashed into a utility pole near Mountain Terrace Street and Whitney Avenue after being shot earlier today.
- It was announced yesterday that the Memphis Grizzlies will be sitting out their fifth straight game due to coronavirus concerns. Their game against the Chicago Bulls for tomorrow night has been postponed. Due to contact tracing the Grizzlies don’t have enough active players for tomorrow night.
