Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:
- The Shelby County Government officials are addressing coronavirus vaccine distribution yesterday. Part of the problem is people are traveling from out of the Memphis area to come get the vaccine without an appointment.
- A carjacking suspect has been arrested after opening fire on Shelby County deputies in southwest Memphis Wednesday afternoon. The suspect crashed the stolen car, knocking down at least two street lamps, and he shot at the deputies when they tried to arrest him. Thankfully, no deputies were injured.
- An 18-year-old was shot and killed in South Memphis Wednesday night..The shooting occurred near East McKeller Avenue. No suspects have been arrested yet.
