Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:

  • The City of Memphis is changing their online coronavirus vaccine appointment system to increase efficiency. It’s estimated around 36,000 appointments will be available next week online.

 

  • Memphis Police are investigating two shootings that happened overnight at Nutbush. Officers responded to a call at a gas station at Jackson and Orchi where a victim showed up with a gunshot wound. At the same time, police were called to a car nearby that was found riddled with bullets. Memphis Police say the two scenes were connected.

 

  • The Memphis Police Department announced the launch of an Inspectional Services Bureau dashboard. It will have information on alleged officer violations, and it will be updated quarterly as investigations are wrapped up. Alleged violations include things like excessive force complaints and how they respond to resistance situations.
