- Former Vice President Al Gore spoke in opposition to the proposed Byhalia Pipeline on Sunday at a protest in South Memphis. The Memphis City Council is having their first reading on a proposed ordinance against it this week.
- Memphis Police are investigating a shooting around 7 pm Sunday evening at Union and Riverside. A teenage girl was transported to the hospital in critical condition. No suspects have been arrested yet.
- The Memphis Police are also investigating a close call for an officer whose patrol car was hit last night along Highway 385 near Ridgeway. The officer had pulled over to investigate another accident when his car was hit. The victim of the initial accident ran into the woods, and a City Watch alert has been issued.
