- The Mid-South is dealing with severe weather today. A small section of north Mississippi has been upgraded to high risk, and Shelby County is under a tornado watch until 1 PM today. There’s threats for strong winds and tornadoes as the day progresses. Check out our up-to-date weather radar.
- The threat of the severe weather has caused the City of Memphis to cancel all coronavirus vaccine appointments scheduled for today. They also announced a new health directive.
- Memphis Police report an officer has been routinely relieved of duty after firing a shot at an armed suspect Tuesday morning in Hickory Hill. The officer encountered the male suspect carrying a gun around 11 am, and the suspect refused to comply with the officer’s commands. No one was injured, the suspect was taken into custody, and the investigation is ongoing.
- Memphis Police are investigating after a child is dead and another is in critical condition after two boys were rescued from a pond Tuesday in an Oakhaven neighborhood. Reports are the kids were 3 and 5 years old.
