Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South today:
- A man was taken to the hospital in non-critical condition around 3:30 AM this morning after being shot at the Waffle House on Sycamore View Road near I-40. What led to the shooting is unknown and no one has been arrested yet.
- The Shelby County Health Department announced the county is moving into Phase 2a/2b of coronavirus vaccine distribution. Critical infrastructure workers will not be allowed to get the vaccine. Also this phase includes people that are 55 or older.
- A woman was carjacked in front of the Malco Powerhouse Theater in downtown Memphis Wednesday afternoon. Memphis Police have now posted photos of the four unknown suspects. They approached the victim and told her she had a flat tire. While she was examining, one of the suspects jumped in the car and then dragged the victim through the lot. We have the pictures here.
