- The Memphis Tigers basketball team advanced to the NIT semifinals after a win last night against Boise State, 59-56. Memphis will face Colorado State at 11 am on Saturday.

WastePro wants out of its contract with the City of Memphis after just two years completed of the five-year agreement. The trash pickup service has received several thousand complaints in the last month alone about incomplete services.

Starting today anyone 16 and older can get the coronavirus vaccine in the City of Memphis. This comes right after Tennessee Governor Bill Lee’s announcement on Monday that made all residents 16 and up eligible. Appointments in Memphis for next week will be available starting at noon today.
- Memphis Police are investigating after a child was killed in a hit-and-run crash in South Memphis Thursday. The crash happened near S. Parkway East and South Lauderdale Street, and the victim was taken to the hospital where he later died. The suspect was reported possibly driving a black Chevrolet Impala.
