Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:
- Memphis City Leaders want at least 700,000 people vaccinated with at least the first dose by the end of the summer. One of the issues they’re running into is people missing their scheduled appointments.
- The Memphis City Council postponed voting for several issues. One vote was to ban the sale of pets in retail stores. Also they delayed again the vote for the construction of the Byhalia Pipeline that would run through southwest Memphis and North Mississippi.
- Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves announced an executive order that will end the statewide mask mandate and other coronavirus restrictions. A couple exceptions are THE capacity restriction of 50 percent in indoor arenas and places that govern K-12 schools.
