Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South:

  • Severe weather swept through the Mid-South Sunday afternoon and evening, and one of the hardest hit areas was Tipton County, where a tornado was spotted near Munford. No one was injured, but multiple houses are damaged.

  • Memphis Police are investigating an incident Friday afternoon where an officer and an agent with the Bureau of ATF were shot around 2:30 PM. Officers were searching for a carjacked vehicle at the time, when suspects got out of a red vehicle, fired shots at them and fled the scene. Both victims were taken to the hospital in non-critical condition. Three suspects have been detained and one is still at large.
