Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South today:

  • Memphis Police are searching for the suspect that set at least five cars on fire early Thursday morning at a Parkway Village apartment complex. Memphis firefighters were called to the scene at Shadowbrook Townhomes just after midnight to put out car fires, but the vehicles were all destroyed by the flames.

 

  • Governor Bill Lee (TN-R) is expected to sign a bill that will hopefully help curb illegal drag racing problems. House Bill 22 passes in the Tennessee House this week, and it gives a stiffer penalty for illegally drag racing. Up to a year behind bars and a large fine.

 

  • Three people have finally been arrested in connected with the Dec. 2020 deadly double shooting at the McDonald’s in Arlington. 19-year-old Anthony Grayson was shot and killed, and another victim went to the hospital in critical condition. The suspects have been arrested and charged with second degree murder, as well as other charges.
