Here’s everything you need to know going on in the Mid-South today:
- The Shelby County Health Department says you have to wear a mask between bites and sips while out at a restaurant, and you have to wear a mask while sweating at the gym. This is just a part of the new health directive they released this weekend.
- A federal appeals court ruled over the weekend that Tennessee can now enact a law that makes abortions for reasons of prenatal diagnosis of down syndrome, gender or race illegal.
- It was a deadly Sunday in Memphis. Three people were shot and killed, including a young girl. Three others were shot and another was stabbed.
- No Christmas cheer in Hernando, Mississippi, this year. The Hernando Main Street Chamber or Commerce canceled the town’s annual Christmas parade due to coronavirus concerns.

Also in Mississippi, the department of health reported almost 2,000 coronavirus cases in one day over the weekend, marking the highest one day total so far.
