  • There was an early morning shooting in Raleigh around 5 AM this morning. The incident resulted in one person shot in the 2900 block of Beechridge Cove. The victim is at Methodist North Hospital for non-critical injuries.

 

  • Shelby County Schools are looking to go back to school in person in January, but until then, they’re asking parents to submit a student learning choice for the remainder of the school year by Oct. 30.

 

  • Two Shelby County deputies have been relieved of duty without pay after being arrested for theft, perjury and more. The two men arrested are Nicholas Clark and William Cole.

 

  • Masks are back on for parts of Mississippi. Gov. Tate Reeves announced mask mandates for nine counties, including Desoto County, due to rising coronavirus numbers in those areas.
