- Rhodes College graduate Amy Coney Barrett was sworn in as a Supreme Court Associate Judge last night at the White House. She’ll start her new role officially today after taking her judicial oath.
- After letting the mask mandate expire, Mississippi Governor Tate Reeves is adding more and more counties back to the mask list. First, he added back nine counties. Now, he’s added seven more on Monday. I guess the people don’t get to decide after all.
- Collierville Schools will expand in-person learning at the high school after Christmas break in January. Instead of two days, students will go to classes four days a week and do one day of virtual learning. It’s set to start Jan. 6 for all students currently doing the hybrid model.
- 30-year-old Ashley Pettaway has been now charged with two counts of aggravated assault, driving without a license, reckless driving and running a red light. The woman rammed police cars on purpose at the scene of a deadly hit-and-run incident this weekend.
