• No fall sports due to the coronavirus, Shelby County Schools superintendent Joris Ray announced Tuesday.

• Two Memphis organizations have been accused of falsifying reports regarding children in need in order to receive more than $37,000 combined in federal funds.

• Crime near the University of Memphis continues to be a problem. The latest is two teens were robbed and their cars hijacked Tuesday morning near the intersection of Southern and Houston.

• It’s Sept. 16, and an estimated 3,000 Shelby County School students have not logged onto their online classes or picked up their devices.
