- Violence over the weekend in Memphis: Late Saturday night, give people were shot in West Memphis. Sunday night, three more people were shot at a gas station in Whitehaven.
- The University of Memphis’ live Bengal tiger mascot Tom III passed away over the weekend at the age of 12. The school announced it will no longer have live mascots moving forward.
