State Rep. Mark White will appear on “Wake Up Memphis” with Tim Van Horn to respond to a nasty attack ad reportedly put out by Jerri Green – his anti-Trump, Democrat opponent.
The ad, which has been playing on television stations across the Mid-South, accuses White of being indicted and arrested for sales tax evasion.It was paid for by “One Tough Mother,” — a moniker used by the leftist Democrat’s campaign. Watch the full ad below.
It accuses White of having a “dark secret.”
The commercial cited a Commercial Appeal article from more than a decade ago that alleges he was indicted arrested for tax evasion for not paying sales tax.The hit piece left out important details which White will address on KWAM’s morning show. Ms. Green declined KWAM’s invitation.
“I would normally agree to come on, but your show airs when I am busy getting my three kids up and ready for school,” Green said. “They, as I am sure you understand, are my number one priority. And, as you can imagine these final days of campaigning mean my schedule otherwise is also jam packed.”
White says he will answer all of our questions regarding the ad and what happened when he was a small business owner.Rep. White has served for more than a decade in the state house without a hint of scandal. So, it appears this sleazy piece of politicking is nothing more than a desperate act by a flailing candidate.
It appears the Tough Mother is a Dirty Mother.
