Relationship Expert Says More Sex Doesn’t Equal a Happy Marriage

Sex isn’t always the key to happiness, licensed relationship and marriage therapist Faith Roby told “Wake Up Memphis” Wednesday.

When someone gets married, divorce is the last thing on his or her mind. But, many couples end up signing divorce papers just a few years down the road.

Roby discussed the common pitfalls married couples face with host Ben Deeter.

While many people may say that more sex means that your partner will stay faithful to you, Roby argues that lots of sex may indicate the opposite.

“You can have great sex, very great sex,” Roby said, “and it can be very satisfactory on a scale of zero to five it’s a 10.5, and you can get cheated on because you have to know what is the purpose behind the infidelity.”
