Rep. John Rose Condemns ‘Pro-Crime Democrats’

Rep. John Rose (R-TN) blasted a Nashville chancellor who issued a ruling blocking the Tennessee National Guard from participating in the Memphis Safe Task Force.

The Republican gubernatorial candidate also ripped Shelby County Mayor Lee Harris and other local Democrats who filed the lawsuit.

“This is what’s broken in our justice system: criminals are treated like victims,” Rose said.

Chancellor Patricia Moskal, who critics are calling just a step about a meter maid, issued a 37-page ruling that is expected to be appealed.

The Court finds that neither “grave emergency” nor “disaster” can fairly be construed to include “ongoing criminal activity” — which plainly is a law enforcement concern — and is not the type of emergency that would warrant the activation and deployment of National Guard members who are not trained law enforcement personnel,” Moskal wrote.

Her ruling does not impact the hundreds of federal law enforcement agencies that are also connected to the task force.

“I am appalled by this rogue judge’s reckless ruling. It’s disgraceful, dangerous, and will cost Memphians their lives,” Rose said in a statement to KWAM.

“Since President Donald J. Trump sent in the National Guard, they’ve rescued over 100 missing children and put more than one thousand criminals behind bars,” Rose added. “Yet pro-crime Democrats have fought them at every turn, putting their far-left politics above public safety.”

Critics accused Mayor Harris of siding with the criminals instead of the law-abiding citizens of Memphis. They also blamed the Democrat Party’s soft-on-crime policies for turning the city into a war zone.

“This is what’s broken in our justice system: criminals are treated like victims,” Rose said.

Since the Memphis Task Force landed in Memphis the overall crime rate has plunged by 50 percent. And many are now wondering if the more than 100 missing children found by the task force will have to be returned to the human traffickers.
