Two of the five fired Memphis police officers involved in the death of Tyre Nichols will turn themselves in on Thursday, Fox 13 reports.
“I’m hearing from four independent sources it’s expected at least two of the five former Memphis Police officers involved in the death of Tyre Nichols will turn themselves in today,” Fox 13’s Jeremy Pierre tweeted Thursday morning.
“The officers have not been charged. However, the grand jury is meeting today at 9,” he added.BREAKING:

The five former officers who violated multiple policies include Tadarrius Bean, Demetrius Haley, Emmitt Martin III, Desmond Mills, Jr., and Justin Smith.
Action 5 News reports two officers — Emmitt Martin and Desmond Mills, Jr. — have retained defense attorneys.
Ahead of the release of the video, Chief Cerelyn (CJ) Davis called it “heinous” and said more officers are still under investigation.Shelby County District Attorney (DA) Steve Mulroy is expected to update the public later Thursday on the Nichols case.
