Rhodes College Student Killed In Midtown Shooting, Suspect in Custody

The shooter who killed a Rhodes College student has been caught.
Raines Holmes was located in the 3100 block of Powell, according to police.
The student who was killed Sunday during a home invasion near Rhodes College has been identified.
Andrew “Drew” Rainer, 22, and his girlfriend were shot in their off-campus home around 5:40 AM.
Rainer was pronounced dead at the home and the woman was taken Regional One. She’s expected to survive her injuries.
According to the Tennesse Department of Corrections, Holmes has a long criminal history.
Rainess Holmes is in custody. The U.S. Marshals Two Rivers Violent Fugitive Task Force located Holmes in the 3100 block of Powell.
