Christian values are under attack in America, former Shelby County Commissioner Terry Roland told KWAM Monday.

“I feel like if you’re a Christian now, you’ve got a target on your back,” Roland said on “Wake Up Memphis.

The outspoken conservative’s comments are in response to aQueer Youth Field Day” in Memphis hosted by Nike.

“I cut Nike off a long, long time ago,” Roland said. ” When you look at some of the people that push their brands and the things they promote it’s just un-American, unholy, and I’ll even go as far to say it’s Satanic.”

Nike recently came under fire after they partnered with transgender activist Dylan Mulvaney to promote a line of women’s tights and sports bras. See story here.

KWAM radio host Todd Starnes slammed the upcoming event.

“it’s not clear what sort of activities the children will engage in. However, one must assume there will be plenty of balls to kick around at ‘queer youth field day,’” said Starnes.
