At his town hall co-hosted by Texas Senator conservative Ted Cruz in Cordova, Tennessee, Senate candidate republican Dr. Manny Sethi says it’s time for the White House to make a staff change on its coronavirus task force: get rid of Dr. Anthony Fauci.
“I think it’s time to fire this guy Fauci, what do you think? Have you had enough?” Sethi tells the crowd of supporters.
Sethi is questioning the role of social media during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Where did Mark Zuckerberg of Facebook get his MD?” Sethi says. “Where did he go to med school? Get Facebook, Twitter, get these left-wing democrats out of the middle of this pandemic, and let’s move this country forward.”
Senator Cruz says the democrats like to claim that anyone who doesn’t want the whole country shut down is a “science-hating Neanderthal.”
“Last I checked, Manny is a medical doctor and a world-famous surgeon,” Cruz says, “so how exactly are the democrats and the press going to say this guy doesn’t believe in medical science?”
