Shelby County GOP Executive Director Kristina Garner tells ‘Wake Up Memphis’ with Robyn Walensky the vandals who left ‘defund police’ flyers and poured pink paint on the lawns and driveways at the homes of four Shelby County officials leaders are akin to domestic terrorists.

“They are inspiring terror and acts of vandalism against people,” she tells Walensky.

Over the Fourth of July holiday weekend, vandals attacked the home of District Attorney Republican Amy Weirich. Thugs throwing fireworks at the roof of her house. American flags on her property destroyed.  It remains unclear if any arrests have been made.

“It’s just absurd that these people and their families have been targeted at their homes,” Garner tells Walensky. “Be observant, like the saying goes, if you see something, say something.”

Since all the flyers and pink paint appear to be the same, it seems clear the same group is behind the vandalism.

One of the commissioners targeted lives in Germantown.

“One thing the criminals may not have counted on is the Germantown Police Department,” Garner says. “They will go to the end to find out who did this.”

Detectives are asking anyone with security video or video clips from ring doorbells to turn them over to police.
