Shelby County Mayoral Challenger Morgan Says County Woes Are On Harris

Shelby County Mayoral Candidate Worth Morgan told KWAM the county’s biggest problems are a result of poor leadership by current Mayor Lee Harris. Morgan, who’s also the District 5 Memphis City Councilman, said Harris is weak on crime reduction and fiscal management.

Mayor Harris hasn’t gone on record on if he would reduce or increase the state comptroller’s set property tax rate of $3.399.  However, Worth Morgan told “Wake Up Memphis” he is for lowering the rate to $3.39.
