Ole Miss Football Player Killed, 4 Injured in Cordova Mass Shooting

DEVELOPING STORY: A mass shooting in Cordova leaves an Ole Miss football player dead and 4 others wounded. The Shelby County Sheriff’s department responded to a scene on Fern Glade Cove in Cordova at 10:14 p.m.
When deputies arrived at the intersection of Forest Hill-Irene and Walnut Grove, they stopped a car and discovered Corey Adams, the football player. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Adams, 18, was a freshman at Ole Miss. He was from New Orleans.Four other men arrived by personal vehicles to area hospitals in non-critical condition.

Ole Miss Football released a statement:SCSO detectives are investigating a shooting that took place at about 10:14 pm outside a residence on Fern Glade Cove in Cordova. When deputies arrived at the intersection of Forest Hill-Irene and Walnut Grove, they stopped a vehicle, finding an adult male gunshot victim. They provided life-saving measures until Shelby County Fire arrived. Shelby County Fire personnel later pronounced the victim deceased on the scene. Upon arrival at Fern Glade Cove, deputies found multiple shell casings and learned that four adult males arrived by personal vehicles to area hospitals with gunshot wounds. All four victims are listed in non-critical condition. This shooting is an active homicide investigation by SCSO detectives. “We are devastated to learn that Corey Adams, a freshman on the team, passed away last night in Cordova, Tennessee. While our program is trying to cope with this tragic loss, our thoughts are with his loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
KWAM listeners say they are disgusted that the policies of Democrats have turned the city and the suburbs into a third-world war zone.
“What is it going to take for someone to actually take the high crime level in our precious city seriously!
