DEVELOPING STORY: Tens of thousands of Memphians are without power after a line of severe thunderstorms roared across the Mid-South earlier today. Power lines were snapped in half and a number of trees were toppled by winds that exceeded 60 miles per hour.
There was significant damage reported in Hernando where local leaders declared an emergency. Authorities believe much of the damage was caused by straight-line winds.Click here to download the free KWAM app to listen to our radio station across the Mid-South.
