A manhunt is underway for a gunman who opened fire on Memphis Police and then tried to run them over.
It happened early Thursday morning on Southern Ave.

Several bullets hit a squad car. One officer returned fire, but did not hit the bad guy.
One officer suffered a minor injury after falling.

Neither the Memphis chapter of the NAACP nor any of the radical progressives on the city council have condemned the attack. Is anyone surprised?The gunman was believed to be driving a black Infiniti SUV with rear bumper damage. It was last seen leaving the 3200 block area of Southern.
