DEVELOPING STORY: At least three members of the Memphis Fire Dept. have been fired for their behavior in the Tyre Nichols case.

EMT Robert Long and JaMichael Sandridge along with Lt. Michelle Whitaker were fired for violating “numerous MFD policies and procedures.”

“Their actions or inactions on the scene that night do not meet the expectations of the Memphis Fire Department and are not reflective of the outstanding service the men and women of the Memphis Fire Department provide daily in our community,” Chief Gina Sweat said.

The fired staffers were accused of failing to conduct an adequate patient assessment of Nichols.
