Thug Robs Elderly Woman in Kroger Parking Lot

A masked thug robbed an elderly woman in broad daylight in the Kroger parking lot on Poplar Avenue. Watch the video below.

The thug fled the scene in a stolen car towards Kirby Parkway. Police say they are searching for a stolen white Infinity QX3 with Tennessee tag BHQ-6239.

“Officers were advised the suspect opened her front passenger side door and snatched her purse away from her, causing one of the purse straps to cut her left forearm,” Memphis police said in a statement.

Sheleah Harris, a Kroger spokesperson, released a statement to television station WREG, “At Kroger, safety is our top priority for customers and associates. We are working with the Memphis Police Department to help with this ongoing investigation.”
