The 45th President of The United States closed out CPAC 2021 in Dallas, TX.
Sunday had been getaway day for many conservatives, but when President Donald Trump’s speech was moved to Sunday, it was, much like his four years in office, a game changer.
The Sunday slate was full of terrific speakers including Lt. Colonel Allen West (who is running for Texas Governor), Texas Congressman Louie Gohmert, former HUD Secretary Ben Carson, Senator Rick Scott, Florida Congressman Byron Donalds, and many others. Look for my interview with West this coming week on “Wake Up Memphis” from 6 to 9am on the Mighty 990.

President Donald J. Trump

Folks lined up several hours in advance to get through the metal detectors and Secret Service check to insure a good seat in the Trinity Ballroom. Matt Schlapp and the American Conservative Union seats the media a bit back and one side of the ballroom to allow the paying public and exhibitors better seating. I think they get this right.
The Ballroom was full about 45 minutes before Trump took the stage. Palpable energy each day of the conference, and the final act was no exception.  President Trump touched a very wide range of topics including most social issues, the recent election, looking ahead, and (of course in Texas) the border. We will have some clips from his speech coming up on “Wake Up Memphis” .
I am looking forward to sharing all of my CPAC my experiences with you on the morning show tomorrow (Monday). Taking a red-eye flight then a quick nap before Grace & I crank up your day.
