Tennessee Republican Congressman David Kustoff tells ‘Wake Up Memphis’ with Robyn Walensky coronavirus relief negotiations with House Speaker Nancy Pelosi “have really gone sideways.”

With 45 days until the election, some politicians are attempting to show they’re making some headway on this bill. Speaker Pelosi, who has been called a hypocrite after being caught on camera not wearing a mask while getting a blow out at a San Francisco salon, is refusing to negotiate.

“It’s two different values, two different systems, one for her and one for everybody else,” Kustoff tells ‘Wake Up Memphis.’

Kustoff says President Trump remains optimistic and “wants to try to work something out in terms of additional relief.”

Next to President Ronald Reagan, President Trump is one of “the great communicators” of our generation, says the congressman.

He says Trump is able to connect with voters because he “says all the things people are thinking but are too afraid to say.”
