Tennessee is one step closer to criminalizing public and “all-ages” drag shows.
The state Senate passed the bill Thursday but not without plenty of backlash.

The bill will go through the House Criminal Justice Committee next Tuesday night, where it is expected to pass to the House floor. If Lee signs the bill, the law will go into effect July 1.
