Tennessee House Speaker Cameron Sexton (R) accused the embattled trio of far-left lawmakers of playing the victim card instead of focusing on the Nashville school shooting victims Tuesday on “Wake Up Memphis.”
Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville), Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville), and Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) may be expelled from their offices for breaking House decorum rules during gun control protests last week.“They went to the well in an attempt to become a victim themself and take away from the six victims and their families of what happened that week. That is appalling to me,” Sexton told KWAM Tuesday. “What they were doing was activism on the house floor.”
Sexton said only one of the far-left representatives apologized for breaking rules during their protests but stood by their behavior. To some on the other side of the aisle – this is “good trouble” and even said they “should NOT be disciplined” for their actions…these actions are a blatant disregard for house rules & toward the Sgt. At Arms. @FoxNews @997wtn @Mighty990KWAM @dailywireplus @robbystarbuck https://t.co/N3u7OR1rX1
