Hello Americans, I’m Todd Starnes. Stand by for News and Commentary next.

The Baby Jesus is no longer welcome in Bucksport, Maine.

The town took down a Nativity scene that had been displayed in downtown for decades.

The Bangor Daily News reports that the nativity was removed after a local atheist raised a stink.

Tom Waddell is the state chapter president of the Freedom From Religion Foundation.

He says there’s more to American culture than just Christianity and having a nativity scene on public property is exclusive.

Notice how the atheists never pull this with the Muslim holidays. It’s just the Christian holidays. Exclusively.

A similar issue arose in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. But town leaders reversed their decision to remove the Baby Jesus after our listeners bombarded City Hall with telephone calls and emails.

Maybe it’s time to do the same at Bucksport City Hall.
